Private Residence
Brighton, NY

Work at this private residence involved the redevelopment of the rear garden.  One of the principal design objectives for this project was to visually extend the limits of this modest space.  This was accomplished by orienting the terrace steps towards the furthest corner of the property, and by utilizing a ¾ life-size sculpture/fountain to draw the eye diagonally across the garden, giving the illusion of greater depth.  Other features of the garden include a low stone wall, brick paving, lush plantings, teak furnishings, pots, and accent lighting.  Bayer Associates provided complete design and construction administration services for this project.
