Bayer Associates provided comprehensive design services for improvements to this small urban playground in Rochester, New York.  The project plans call for removal of most of the existing recreation features, and the construction of new features including a tennis court, a basketball court, a playground, new parking, new fencing, new green areas, and an aquatic playground.  The aquatic playground features an assortment of at-grade ornamental fountains arranged on a zero water depth rubber safety surface.  The principal design challenge for this project was finding space for all of the program elements on the small site while preserving its many existing trees.  Careful grading design was also required to make an existing recreation building handicap accessible without employing a handicap ramp.
